Recap from old blog, and hi!

Hi guys,

Last week it was announced we would be getting our own oceanic hosted realms, lowering my ping approx by 200ms which is awesomely AWESOME. Work started on this last night and if everything goes to plan, should be finished by tonight.

I was invited to go to the event in Sydney but due to a mad Christmas period that starts around August, everything is taking up time - plus I had already booked some time off! I am hoping I get the chance to meet some of the people I have gotten to know and talk to on twitter/facebook. That would be seriously awesome, especially since Blizzcon is out of my budget for a few years.

I am having trouble remembering to blog, mainly because I have to log into my website to do it, not that I didn't have to from wordpress, but at least I had an app I could use on my tablet to blog from. I'll either need to work out a different solution or end up back on wordpress to blog if I want to seriously blog in the future... I honestly don't know how many people check out my new site since it isn't hosted on wordpress anymore. I could also try blogger, which can update on this website, but also be available remotely by apps and what not, so I will give it some thought... blogger does sound like the best option right now as I don't need to change hosting or domains, and it has its own Wix app to integrate into my website! If wordpress had one, I'd go straight back to that, but you gotta do what you gotta do! EDIT: As you can tell, I went to blogger!

A few things I want to think about coming next year is being a bit more into the gaming scene - I have had it suggested to me to do youtube, whether that means I make videos or vlog, I am undecided yet. I have always said I was interested in that, but perhaps when I am in the city. I also feel I don't do enough cool stuff to youtube, but I guess unless I try it I'd never actually know. I have a channel, but haven't made it pretty or anything.

As for real life, I am undecided on what to do. I've become interesting in doing Vet Nursing through TAFE but it requires a lot of practical experience, which isn't something that worries me but I do live an hour away from the closest practice so not only would I have to see whether they'd let me do voluntary prac there, but I'd also need to see if it's worth while spending money on fuel as well as what would I do regarding work? Do I change the number of hours I do? Do I prac on Saturdays? Is this something that is worth spending the money on if I end up not using it?
I mean, when I go to live in Perth there is a chance that I could actually work at a clinic, and I do love animals. My family has had animals of all types for years. When it comes to farm animals, we haven't owned pigs or cows, but our next door neighbour had cows, and my grandparents and a family friend had/has pigs, so I have been around them. We haven't had alpaca/llamas but again, family friend has them. The most common animals I'd probably see would be the cats, dogs and small creatures kinds, maybe even the feathered variety, and I am fine with that because as long as it isn't a spider or snake, I could deal with it (though if it was a python, it would be fine, and if the spider was safe in an enclosure, also fine!).
I have helped Mum with animals, especially giving antibotics in either tablet or paste form when our cats or dog decided to get in a scrap with each other or a stray animal around the farm. I have also helped Mum with needles - she usually gave them, I was just the strength to hang on to the horse or sheep she had to inject!

Christmas is just around the corner which will mean, WoD is out soon, Blizzcon streaming WOO and my BF is coming to stay for a few weeks after uni exams are over and done with. Fun times ahead! Plus family meals :)

It's not really a new years resolution, but I want to blog more, and I also want to lose some weight. Being tall I can hide it, but I am starting to not hide it well at all, and I feel like crap so it's time to do something! I want to not limit myself, but to restrict myself in a way also if that makes sense.. the more I can't have something, the more you bet it'll end up in my mouth by the end of that day... hellllllllo chocolate.

That's about it for now, will work out blogger or whatever and get back to it!

Mon x
